no kernel sources in SDK with yocto flow

Jump to solution

Hi,

I use the yocto flow to generate kernel and rootfs, all based on the Xilinx rel-v2020.2 yocto recipes.
Then I want to include the kernel sources in my SDK which I can generate with :

$ bitbake petalinux-image-minimal -c populate_sdk

In my conf file I added :

TOOLCHAIN_TARGET_TASK_append = " kernel-devsrc"

After creation of the SDK i can see the complete directory structure of the kernel sources in my sysroots/aarch64-xilinx-linux/usr/src/kernel directory, but only the Kconfig and Makefile files are present. Therefore no actual kernel sources seem to be deployed in my SDK.

Any ideas?

Hi

kernel-devsrc is used for external(out-of-tree) module builds

So it doesn't include all source files

Hi, is this something which has changed in this yocto recipe? In the past it gave me all driver sources...
