no uart with petalinux

What should I do if I want a 'mute' linux boot (not sending to uart) as I'm also running an app on the R5 core and I want that latter output?

Bonus question: Is there a (simple) way to only prevent the boot log but not the linux apps from printing to that shared uart?

Output from the Linux kernel can be suppressed by passing "quiet" on the kernel commandline.

Applications will still be able to use the UART (including getty which will show the login prompt).

Good to know. That still doesn't mute the fsbl but is useful. Do you know where to set that, if in the general petalinux config setting or the kernel config itself?

The FSBL and also u-boot are separate from the Linux kernel. I haven't looked at how to tweak either of those, though it is likely possible.
