sdhci_send_command: MMC: 1 busy timeout increasing to: 400 ms

Jump to solution

I am using Xilinx UZ3EG board.  In QSPI boot,If we remove the sd card and boot then I see below timout errors and after that the boot continues. This timeout is adding extra 15 second delay in the boot up when sd card is not attached. Is there any solution to avoid this when sd card is not connected? ( Note: If the card is attached then there is no issue. we don't want to attach the card in QSPI boot)

MMC: sdhci_send_command: MMC: 1 busy timeout increasing to: 200 ms.
sdhci_send_command: MMC: 1 busy timeout increasing to: 400 ms.
sdhci_send_command: MMC: 1 busy timeout increasing to: 800 ms.
sdhci_send_command: MMC: 1 busy timeout increasing to: 1600 ms.
sdhci_send_command: MMC: 1 busy timeout increasing to: 3200 ms.

Hi @damon

Can you try applying these patch changes to u-boot source and see if that fixes the issue?

Hi @damon

These patches are merged in 2019.1. If you want to apply for previous releases, you have to manually make these changes

Hi @damon

You can just try applying these patches without changing device tree

Hi @shabbirk,

I saw the xilinx-v2019.1 u-boot in xilinx github (https://github.com/Xilinx/u-boot-xlnx/tree/xilinx-v2019.1)

It seems that the patch you provided does not have merge into xilinx-v2019.1 u-boot.

Hi @damon

Its already in master branch of u-boot, which can be applied on top of 2019.1. If you are using this version, try applying these two patches and let me know if this works

Hi @shabbirk,

I checked xilinx u-boot master branch, it seems that patch still not merged.

For example:

Please help to check~
