u-boot: Unable to read file system.dtb

Jump to solution

Hello,

I'm running u-boot on the ZCU102.

Why am I getting this error ?

If I understand correctly, u-boot does not depend on a device tree.

I'm booting from MMC.

Does it expect system.dtb in the MMC ?

Thank you,

Zvika

HI @zvivered

What is the command you are running to boot the linux.  what are the boot images you copied to to MMC and which board you are using.

Can you please share your u-boot env. Please type printenv in u-boot console and share.

Thanks & regards

Aravind

Hi Aravind,

...

reading system.dtb

** Unable to read file system.dtb **

....

I noticed that the folder "images" in petalinux contains also system.dtb.

Thank you,

Zvika

Hi Aravind,

Now I understand.

system.dtb is used to boot linux.

Currently I do not need linux.

Best regards,

Zvika
