Re: SMBus & I2C difference

Hi ranjithanih@gmail.com

It is not available on Vivado, SMBus is a derivative of the I2C protocol, but there is something which an SMBus do.

What is the case in which you want to use the PS I2C?

Please go through the links below and let me know for queries if any.

Re: SMBus & I2C difference

Hi ranjithanih@gmail.com ,

Which FPGA are you using whether it is Zynq or ZynqMP?

As the protocol relies same you can communicate with SMBus.

Please let me know for further queries if any.

Re: SMBus & I2C difference

Thanks for the update.

I am using ZynqMPSOC.

I will communicate SMBUS slave with I2C IP as a master.
