This seems so simple but so I am baffled as to how to proceed.
I am trying to create an IP block with an SPI slave interface. The problem is when I go to create the interface I have only two mode options: "master" and "monitor", neither of which is slave. Monitor will not work because all its pins are inputs, and master wont work because I need to make a slave device.
What now?! How do I even deal with this?
FYI I am using Vivado 2014.4

Hi @eanema ,
In advanced property for FPGA side interface, when checked, allows no connects between IP inside an IP Integrator diagram. It automatically suppresses showing slave interface in the logical port table.
Please see ug118, chapter 5 for more information.

Thanks for the response Anil, but I don't understand. I have looked at the specified document UG118, and although relavent, I could not find an "advanced options" when I was creating the interface in the IP block. Can you explain a bit more clearly exactly where I'll find this?
