We are trying to test Xilinx 10GBASE-R PMA with a custom PCS on Virtex device(xc7v585tffg1157-2).
When link is disconnected, PMA gives rxdata as 32'hAAAA_AAAA continuously. As this is one of the valid data, PCS block lock is not deasserted to check if the link is down.
Are there any scenario in which rxdata can be driven like this? or Is there some other signal from Xilinx PMA to indicate that the physical link is disconnected?
Any suggestion / pointers would be helpful.

10GBase-R usually implies an optical connection.
The optical receiver (possibly a plug-in module such as SFP+) is likely to have a signal detect output, which is driven based on the measured average optical input power. You can use that to determine whether the link has been disconnected, etc.

Thank you for the suggestion.
We don't have signaldetect connection in our board. So we are unable to use that signal for determining link disconnection.
