Aurora not working in VCU118 when connecting to VC709

Hi,

 

I am trying to connect a VC709 (Virtex 7) with a VCU118 (Ultrascale+) through a 4 lanes Aurora 64/66 interface using an FMC adapter. I have successfully done this between VC709s and a VC709 and VC707. 

I haven not being able to do it between the VC709 and the VCU118.  The lane_up for the 4 lanes are asserted, but the channel_up is not asserted. 

I am using Vivado 2017.3.1  and the Aurora 11.2  ip.

 

How to solve it?

Hi ,

As a first step, Could you please check the external loopback test on VCU118 board and check whether lane_up and channel_up are coming up. This step helps us to understand the if any issue is there in VCU118 board.
