Can a Kintex that is not an ultrascale ultrascale+ do 25G Ethernet?
The Kintex data sheet at https://www.xilinx.com/support/documentation/data_sheets/ds182_Kintex_7_Data_Sheet.pdf
says at the GTX Transceiver Switching Characteristics on page 55 that the -3 speed grade with FF package can do 12.5Gbps. Is there any chipset with XAUI or any other concept that can make the Kintex do 25G?
Thanks,
Frank

Hi
The Subystem core below use GTY transceiver and cannot be used on 7 series devices.
https://www.xilinx.com/products/intellectual-property/ef-di-25gemac.html
However we do have a 40G soft core for kintex7 devices and it could be possible to underrate the 4x10 to support 25G
Refer the link below and contact ethernet_mgmt@xilinx.com through your local FAE.

Thanks Satish.
I clicked https://www.xilinx.com/member/40g_100g/index.htm and registered to have access to the 40G/100G Ethernet Documentation .
>underrate the 4x10 to support 25G
Does that mean have four 10G links on separate Kintex GTX serdes and limit the packets to not pass more than 1 / 4 of 25G on each 10G link?
