Radio over Ethernet Framer core and ZCU216

Hi there, we are basically looking for a solution to interface with the 4-5GHz IF signal on our 5G arrays. It looks like the ZCU216 with the Radio over Ethernet Framer core is the right way to go, but I need help understanding what is provided with the Radio over Ethernet Framer core, and what else needs to be implemented for a complete IF <-> eCPRI interface on our RRH. It looks like the example provided is just two eRECs talking to eachother? How would the ADCs/DACs communicate I/Q data to the RoE cores?

You can refer to the system diagram in https://www.xilinx.com/applications/wireless-communications/5g-radio.html

Between DAC/ADC and IQ data, you need to have JESD (if you don't use Zynq Ultrascale+ RFSOC device)-> DFE modules -> Beamforming.

Currently we only provide board tests targeting at ZCU111 and ZCU102 boards : https://github.com/Xilinx/wireless-apps

You should be able to port ZCU102 design to ZCU216 board. It doesn't contain DFE and Beamforming modules.

For a complete solution, I suggest you work with your FAE and reach out a suitable system architect, who may provide more details on this.
