Recommeded IBERT patterns for Aurora 64/66

FPGA: Kintex Ultrascale 115 ES2

Tools: Vivado 2015.2.1

Aurora version 10.0

I am trying to debug lane-up/channel-up failures on GTHs for Aurora 64/66.  I'd like to use IBERT to validate the signal integrity but I am unsure which of the TX/RX patterns is most suitable for Aurora 64/66.  The options in Vivado lab are the following: PRBS7, PRBS9, PRBS16, PRBS23, PRBS31, fastClock, slowClock.  Which of these is meaningful for Aurora 64/66. Prelim results show no bit errors with any of the PRBS pattern, but issues with fastClock and slowClock.

Haven't found a real solution, but able to run at a slow rate for now.

Aurora 64B66B uses scrambler. The data will be randomized similar to PRBS data.

Could you run eye scan during passing and failing cases?

Whether fast clk/slow clk option could work if LPM mode is used?

Thanks for the reply.

 

The eye scans when run with IBERT all look about the same.  Are you suggesting doing an eye scan on the Aurora using the GTH interface?  I can look into that.

 

I'll look into fast/slow with LPM.

 

There definitely seems to be some vulterability in the Aurora that does not express itself in the Vivado Lap IBERT testing.
