Reg: SRIO Protocol Packet generation

HI,

 

We are using Srio_V5.6 IP core with Virtex5 FPGA .I need to change packet format to ethernet type.So how can we change the user defined packet in SRIO protocol ?

Hi

 

There is no direct Ethernet packet type support in SRIO.

 

You need to transfer the frame data in ftype packet.

 

Check page 247 of below doc

@sunitha_vtpl, Ethernet packet format and SRIO packet formats are differnet, you need to have a gluw logic that converts one packet to other and then embed the payload that needs to be transferred. Once the data is extracted you can use eiteher streaming or hello packet formats to transfer the data.
