Virtex-6 GTX SSC

For use of Virtex-6 GTX xcvrs for receiving in USB3 signaling (5Gb/s, 8b/10b encoding, SSC), what appropriate/special/secret values for various attributes, such as PMA_CDR_SCAN and PMA_RX_CFG, need to be utilized?

Re: Virtex-6 GTX SSC

AR#35653 provides the PMA_RX_CFG value with SATA which uses SSC clocking. This can be used with USB3 if the SSC clocking is similar.

Re: Virtex-6 GTX SSC

As PCIe at 5Gb/s is the same signaling as used for USB3.0, it would seem simplest and easiest to specify that PCIe xcvr IP be built when using the Core Generator (Virtex-6 GTX Transceiver Wizard (v1.12)).

How can it be determined through examining values for various of the Attributes as setup by the Core Generator that SSC for RX has in fact been enabled?

Re: Virtex-6 GTX SSC

PMA_RX_CFG is the required attribute required to have Rx CDR setup for SSC..
