where could i find the xilinx reference design xapp775?

Hi:

    I am trying to design a 100G ethernet's pcs block, and thought that the xapp775 will be a pretty good guide, but since it was too age old, i can not find any xapp775 files on xilinx's website, so is there anyone got this reference design or knew where to find it, please help me know, thanks a lot.

It doesn't look like the files are available anymore.  I don't think it would be very straight forward to reuse for 100G Ethernet in Kintex US+.  We do offer a paid soft 100G Ethernet MAC+PCS or PCS only core.

Hi @dlfc ,

Which device are you targeting? Are you looking to use the hard cmac? xapp775 is quite dated and probabaly for old devices too.

For now, the device i used is xcku5p-ffvb676, the hard cmac binding in the device is too less, even in the vu+ series, the hard cmac is still less than what i need, so i am considering to design one followed the xapp775.

Can you please specify what you mean by "less"? Do you mean you need more cmac but the device does not have?

Yes, we need more cmac, for example, in our application, we want to implement all the GTYs to become 100G ethernets, for xcku5p-ffvb676, there are sixteen GTYs, but only one cmac binding in the device, so if we want to more 100G ethernets, we need to make out a pcs block.

But for the xcku5p-ffvb676 device, how could i implement four 100G ethernets, since there is only one cmac core?

The soft core I linked above is all fabric logic and doesn't use the hard CMAC block.  It is a paid netlist drop that you would need to work with your sales rep on ordering.

Another question, did the soft core listed above implement in CAUI4 mode or CAUI10 mode or optional? thanks a lot.
