Linux porting on the VC707 board

Hello everyone.

I want to port Linux on the VC707 vertix 7 board.

My plan is like this.

First, I will program v-scale on the VC707 FPGA.

Second, I will download the any linux image on the SD card.

Third, I will make device driver to use monitor or other I/O drivers.

Now, I have some questions.

In VC707 board, there is hdmi port. Do I have to make device driver for monitor??

If not, I think there are many device driver in the VC707 board. Where can I check all of them??

Also, if you have any information about linux porting on the board, please share with me.

Always Thanks

YoungWook

Re: Linux porting on the VC707 board

Hi @nohyw2002,

On the VC707, there is an ADV7511 for the HDMI port. I don't think Xilinx have a Linux driver for this (we have for the HDMI IP with the HDMI FMC card). You can maybe have a look at Analog Devices

Also, if you have any information about linux porting on the board, please share with me.

You need to have a microblaze in the FPGA logic. Then follow the wiki page (part for Microblaze).

Hope that helps,

Regards,

Florent
