VCU1525 temperature monitor

In VCU1525 I have connected DC1613A from Linear tech for voltage control. In the dashboard, there are 2 different temperature reading, Im unsure what is that. The two values read as follows

READ_TEMPERATURE_1_PAGED

READ_TEMPERATURE_2

Some people said, they are inductor temperature. Somebody please clarify

regards

Re: VCU1525 temperature monitor

Can you post a screenshot of the dashboard? I am also curious what cable you are using, do you have a part number?

Re: VCU1525 temperature monitor

READ_TEMPERATURE_1_PAGED:

This reads the inductor temperatures

READ_TEMPERATURE_2:

This reads the LTC3884 internal die temperature

Re: VCU1525 temperature monitor

Is there any maximum temperature that inductors/internal die can take? Im curious to know.

PS: The cable that I used SAM8218-ND

Re: VCU1525 temperature monitor

Hello @manojdaran,

Temperature range for LTC3884 and LM96063 on board is very high compared to the actual operating temperature range of VCU1525 acceleration card which is
• Operating: 0°C to +45°C
• Storage: –25°C to +60°C

Refer the datasheets of those diodes for operating temperatures.

http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/lm96063.pdf

https://www.analog.com/media/en/technical-documentation/data-sheets/3884fe.pdf

But they have been configured to shutdown the system for above operating temperatures.

Thank you.
