Vivado 2019.1 missing board files for VCU118 revision 2.0

Jump to solution

Vivado 2019.1 is missing the board files for VCU118 revision 2.0.
Only the files for revision 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3 are included.

Can I simply copy the files in

[vivado_install_dir]/data/boards/board_files/vcu118

from an older Vivado version?

Thank you very much in advance.

Hi lematthias,

I believe the Rev is just for revision of the board files, not the actual board revision.

You can see that on the changelog.txt file (2019.1/data/boards/board_files/vcu118/production/2.3)

######### vcu118 change log ##############
2.3
Enabled QSPI board support
Updated SGMII Interface IO attributes

2.2
Added GT location for XDMA IP

2.0
Enabled production device Support

1.2
Enabled SGMII, 10/25, 40/50, Interlaken, CMAC+ Ethernet interfaces

1.1
Added PCI X16 data width support.
Updated DDR4 speed grade
Changed display name to reflect ES1 platform: (Virtex UltraScale+ VCU118-ES1 Evaluation Platform)

Thanks,
Andres

Hi lematthias,

Yes, you can do that.

If you have questions, the process to add your own board files is explained here:
https://www.xilinx.com/support/documentation/sw_manuals/xilinx2018_3/ug895-vivado-system-level-design-entry.pdf#page=100%C2%A0

Thanks,
Andres

Thank you very much!
Is there any reason why the board files for revision 2.0 have been removed from Vivado?
