7 series fpga ace player compatibility

Hi all!

So far we were using the embedded JTAG ACE player (xapp424) for reflashing our Virtex-5 FPGA boards.

We would like to use the same method for BPI-flashing in a Kintex-7 FPGA.

It is said there, that it can be implemented in any device:

https://forums.xilinx.com/t5/Spartan-Family-FPGAs/Embedded-JTAG-ACE-Player-Spartan-6/td-p/62697

Is this still supported for this FPGA family, or we have to use something like XAPP518 instead?

Thanks,

L.

Re: 7 series fpga ace player compatibility

could you provide a block diagram how you planned to use BPI flash with 7-series fpga in your system?

if you are looking to use BPI flash programming with newer revisions then you can also check the following application note
