I am using BPI Fast Configuration (XAPP587) to configure a XC7VX690T-2-FFG1927 from a Micron parallel NOR flash (MT28GU01GAAA1EGC-0SIT (G18)).
The generated bitstream is set for synchronous configuration. When the configuration switches over from asynchronous to synchronous reads from the flash, the Virtex 7 writes to the Micron Read Configuration Register to put the Micron in synchronous read mode.
What does the Virtex 7 set the read configuration register to? Specifically, what is the latency count that it sets? This is the delay in clock cycles for the first read and depends on the clock frequency.
