Bitstream readback security

Jump to solution

I was wondering what the difference between

BITSTREAM.READBACK.SECURITY  set to Level 2 (no read back and no reconfigurations) vs

BITSTREAM.GENERAL.DISABLE_JTAG

Secondly does the readback security setting allow the use of JTAG debugging (ila etc. in the hardware manager)

Note that this is not a strong security feature without authentication. For more details, see https://www.xilinx.com/support/documentation/application_notes/xapp1098-tamper-resist-designs.pdf
