Can a parallel PROM (XCF08P) be used to *serially* configure a Spartan 6 XC6LX9?

Hi,

Can a parallel PROM (XCF08P) be used to *serially* configure a Spartan 6 XC6LX9 using the D0 line only?

Thanks,

Kenny

Additionally the example Master serial interface configuration connections can be found in Figure 2-2 (Figure 2-3: is for slave serial configuration) of http://www.xilinx.com/support/documentation/user_guides/ug380.pdf

Yes, I saw that figure (Figure 2.2), but the PROM is labeled "XCFxxS", so I was wondering if the XCFxxP could be used in its place.  The documentation that I have seen is not clear.

Thanks for the reply.

In this configuration would the D1..D7 pins be no-connects or connected to ground?
