IMPACT : Can't open /dev/parport0: No such file or directory

 

I have the following IMPACT log with JTAG

The JTAG cable detection issue is solved by inserting "source /opt/Xilinx/14.7/ISE_DS/settings64.sh" into $HOME/.bashrc

However, I still have the following CRC error even though IMPACT tool said that bitstream loading is completed.

Hi @user123random,

How many boards are you experiencing this behaviour on? Have you tried on different boards?
How many devices do you have in the JTAG chain?
Have you monitored the power rails to ensure everything is ok there?
Also have you followed the correct recommendations on pull-up values for DONE and INIT_B?

1. I am checking on another board.  Give me a bit of time on this.

2. ONLY 1 FPGA device in the JTAG chain

3. The JTAG 3.3V is okay, and the board itself has functioning startup bitstream loaded from SPI flash upon power on

4. See the attached PDF schematics.

When you say a startup bitstream is loaded on power-up, is it the same image you are attempting to program within iMPACT?

If different, can you provide the differences in bitstream settings?

 I took a look at the PDF you shared. It seems to differ somewhat from what is described in UG380, page 42, Figure 2-12.
