JTag cable drivers

Jump to solution

Is there a way to verify that the cable are installed correctly without trying to connect over jtag to get the missing cables error?

Hi ,

During the installation the cable driver include digilent driver installation as well.

To confirm check the install location
ex:
C:\Xilinx\.xinstall\Vivado_2014.1\cable_driver_install.log

Hi,

I would suggest to check the install log for details of the installation which all list the cable installation details.

For Vivado 2014.1 check the install log location as stated below.

    • On Windows 7 or 8.1 the install log file is located in the C:\Users\<username>\.Xilinx\xinstall directory, or for XP in%TEMP%\.Xilinx\xinstall.
    • On Linux the log file is located under /home/<username>/.Xilinx/xinstall

Thanks,

I ended up reinstalling the xsdk tool to ensure i installed the cable drivers, it hadn't been installing correcting because i had forgotten to unplug the jtag cables before installing.

Are cable drivers related to digilent plugin's at all or are they 2 seperate problems?

Correct, that is the location to verify the cable drivers installed after the installation process.

Thanks
