Reading USR_ACCESS. USERCODE through xmd

Jump to solution

Hi,

How to read JTAG USR_ACCESS and USERCODE registers through XMD?

XAPP1232 says how to read from vivado tcl console using get_property REGISTER.USR_ACCESS [lindex [get_hw_devices] 0].

I want to access the same using XMD

Thanks,

Rakend R

@rakend.r Using axi_hwicap you have to read the fpga configuration registers. There is already an example in the SDK which prints out all the configuration register (xhwicap_read_config_reg) on the UART. Attached is the picture where you could get the USR_ACCESS register value using processor (AXSS register).

Check the USR_ACCESS and AXSS register.

You should have AXI HWICAP instance in your design. In XMD, you would be able to read USERCODE via AXI HWICAP.

There are example applications in SDK install directory which can be helpful.
