SDK debugging

Jump to solution

Hi There,

This is Amir a PhD student from Texas A&M University. I am trying to build up a demo with a TI ADC12J400 connected to a TI TSW14J10 and to a Xilinx KC705 evaluation board. The set up can be found in the image attached.

I am trying to go through the design procedure in the file attached. I have been able to generate a bitstream to install on my FPGA, but whenever I try that I get the error below

could not find fpga device on the board for connection 'local'

I am guessing that the problem stems from me not having proper USB drive installations but cant figure out how to solve it.

Could you please help me solve my problem?

Best Regards.

Amir

Hi Amir,
There are few things which you check:-
Are you able to connect to the JTAG without the TI extension board? Try to first connect only KC705 to isolate the issue. If it works without the TI board then look for possible reason for JTAG issue with TI board connected. TDI > TDO connectivity
Refer to the KC705 user guide https://www.xilinx.com/support/documentation/boards_and_kits/kc705/ug810_KC705_Eval_Bd.pdf page#26

Check the cable which you are using? If it is digilent cable then try to reduce the cable frequency or if its a platform cable then look for the status LED on the cable? Is that LED turns green when board is powered ON and cable is connected.

For reinstalling the drivers you can refer to this AR https://www.xilinx.com/support/answers/54381.html
Also do look for supported OS..
Thanks
Harshit
