### USB JTAG driver installation problem on Ubuntu Linux 18.04.4 LTS ###

Hello,

I need to access USB JTAG on a VCU129 Eval board from Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS.

I downloaded and installed the rather dated install_drivers tar ball.

Here is top of readme:

** Linux driver installer for the Xilinx Parallel IV and Platform Cable USB
** download cables.
**Reference:
**Revision History:
** 1.033: Cd to the install_drivers directory.
** 1.035: Add check for write permission to the install_drivers directory.
** Updated windrvr6 to version 9.00.
** Used modprobe in loading the xpc4drvr 2.6 driver.
** 1.051: Added support for xp2 and xse.
** 1.052: Fixed version of xusbdfwu.rules
** 1.053: Unset ARCH environment variable prior to building drivers.

I installed fxload package and then started install_drivers script.

However it failed, see att. photo.

Is this at all the correct download, or is there something newer ?

Currently I'm not even using Xilinx platform cable but just need to program VCU129 via USB JTAG.

What am I doing wrong here ?

Vivado installation comes with the drivers. Try to install them again.
1. Follow the AR https://www.xilinx.com/support/answers/54381.html debugging steps. See if that helps.
2. Following user guide has the steps as well https://www.xilinx.com/support/documentation/sw_manuals/xilinx2018_3/ug973-vivado-release-notes-install-license.pdf#page=36
