Platform USB Cable II features

Hello,

I got my Platform USB Cable II (DLC10) today and tried downloading the bit-stream over it. I did not notice any significant improvement with respect to the download speed over my older Platform USB Cable (DLC9G). I am using ISE 11.4. That made me wonder why using this particular cable may be cool. A little bit of digging into data sheets and other posts revealed that DLC10 has Spartan-3A FPGA vis-a-vis CPLD on DLC9G and programming support for SPI. I believe SPI programming was still possible with DLC9G before DLC10 came out. Can someone elaborate what technical improvements are available with DLC10.

Regards,

Kumar Vijay Mishra
