Recommended TCL/batch flow for single partitions

Jump to solution

I'm looking to create several bitfiles with small changes in one VHDL file. Is there a specific batch flow for this? I was using the partial reconfiguration TCL flow, but I've run into problems when modifying it to only use a single partition (I created a set of *.ngc files). Is  there a simple workaround for this if I have all the NGCs?

The solution was actually pretty simple. There is a gen_xp.tcl script that generates xpartition.pxml. This file is automatically used in ngdbuild and the other tools. If there is only one partition, then this .pxml file should not exist. Simply remove the lines pertaining to xpartition and gen_xp.tcl from the other tcl scripts to get around this.
