The way of encryption about CPLD chip or program

Jump to solution

Hi,

I have a design that has two Xilinx CPLD chips, one is XC95144 CPLD and another is XC9572 CPLD. And I want to encrypt my chips in case they are decompiled or destroyed.

Question1: What should I do about this ?

Question2: Do I need to set up a password to encrypt ?

Thank you.

My appologies, that was the cool runner page.

Your looking for  the " Extended pattern security features for design protection"

Thank you for your help.

By reading this PDF document, I learned that CPLD chips can be protected by setting read and write protection bits. I learned that CPLD chips can be protected by setting read and write protection bits. However, the document does not specify how the protection bit should be set up.

Could you tell me how to set up the read and write protection bits?
