howto create a hyperlink to a specific page or paragraph in a Xilinx pdf doc

Jump to solution

I discovered that it's possible to directly link to a paragraph or so inside Xilinx user guides. This can be handy to help people on the forum, by pointing them immediately to the right page.

An example of such link is this :

https://www.xilinx.com/support/documentation/sw_manuals/xilinx2017_2/ug994-vivado-ip-subsystems.pdf#nameddest=xBusInterfaces

Q : how can I create such link? Can it be done from DocNav or by opeing the pdf in Acrobat and then ... do something?

Hi @ronnywebers,

I don't know if this is possible to create links. For me they are pointing to elements which are done when editing the document (however I can be wrong)

What I (sometimes) do, is to point to a chapter is go to the summary (when the PDF is on the web) and then right click on the chapter mentioned > copy link location.

However, I am a bit lazy so I usually only print the page number ;-)

Regards,

Florent
