time tagging data

Hi

In my application, i am using .8us resolution counter which i derive from 10mhz clock on the board to timetag data points. I would like to synchronize the on board clock using a 1pps signal which comes from a GPS module. In this data acqusition application we would like to keep time tagging of data synchronize to other modules in the system. is there way to get 10mhz sychronize to 1pps signal? any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Re: time tagging data

Average the number of 10MHz clock cycles in time between the most recent 17 (or 33 or 65 or 129...)  consecutive 1PPS pulse edges.  Use this as a real-time correction factor for counting elapsed time with the 10MHz clock.
