Starting HLS examples again

Jump to solution

I am using Vivado HLS (2012.4). After I click on 'open example project' and an example project create locally in my disk, I can not see a *.prj file. How do I open this project again (after closing it) ? I tried to do:  tclsh script.tcl

This is what I got:

invalid command name "open_project"
    while executing
"open_project proj_hier_func"
    (file "script.tcl" line 6)

Using the vivado hls command line you can use vivado_hls -p THE_PROJECT_NAME when you're in the directory containing it, otherwise use the GUI.

Also note this:

tclsh is the "plain common" TCL interpreter, without any Xilinx commands or changes .

The TCL interpreter from Xilinx  ( for non-HLS related scripts ) is xtclsh.

The TCL interpreter from Xilinx  for HLS  commands  is vivado_hls.

See page 22  on "High-Level Synthesis" UG902 (v2012.4) December 18, 2012

My best regards
