Could I use ngc file in defferent ise version

Jump to solution

If I use different ise version generated ngc file,ISE8.2 and ISE10.1.

The NGC files have the same human-readable header:

XILINX-XDB 0.1 STUB 0.1 ASCII

XILINX-XDM V1.4e

Could I use the ngc file generated by ISE10.1, copy it to ISE8.2?

I don't know the XILINX-XDM mean what? If the XDM version is same, Then it could croos different ISE version?

Very appreciate your answer!

I would expect tools to be compatible in a forward manner.8.2 ngc to be used in 10.1 .

But its is always best to regenerate for the version that you are using.
