EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION

Jump to solution

I am using Vivado 2020.2.

I am trying to run a design on k7 325t. and i got the followed error every time I try to route the design.

Phase 2.4 Update Timing
Abnormal program termination (EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION)
Please check 'J:/work/rs_proj/lz/camera_input/workdir/camera_input.runs/impl_1/hs_err_pid19348.log' for details

Unfortunately, the log file only contains:

#
# An unexpected error has occurred (EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION)
#
Stack:
no stack trace available, please use hs_err_<pid>.dmp instead.

Thanks in advance.

Please try the below parameter before routing:

set_param route.ignoreLocalClocks true

@shaweikang1984

Can you try with different route_design directives? Try with Explore or AlternateCLBRouting.

If you can share post place dcp file, we can have a look and share workaround if crash is reproducible.

Just skipping a minor optional step in routing stage. If the final timing closure can be achieved, it can be accepted.
