Routing issues while trying to probe/monitor the outputs of the IBERT GTZ IP core using a VIO

I am trying to monitor the transmitted bits of the GTZ transceiver. The IBERT GTZ core was setup(as described in the Virtex-7 VC7222 Characterization Kit IBERT Getting started Guide) and the txn_o and txp_o outputs of the IBERT GTZ core were connected to the probe_in0 and probe_in1 inputs of the vio.

During implementation of the design,the following error message is shown
[Route 35-54] Net: u_ibert/inst/OCT1.u_oct1/TXN_O[0] is not completely routed.

The error is shown for the remaining 7 bits of TXN_O and 8 bits of TXP_O.

Could you please help me troubleshoot what might be causing the routing issue?I have also included the top module where both the IBERT and the VIO cores are instantiated.

It is possible only by using Oscilloscope.

It is not possible to connect TXP/TXN pins of GTZ to VIO.

How would I be able to monitor the outputs TXP/TXN pins of the GTZ?

Depending on what your're trying to accomplish - you CAN probe the parallel side of the transceiver.   i.e. probe the "TXDATA" (and perhaps TXCHARISK) signals at the fpga logic side of the transceiver.

 

Whether or not this is useful depends on what you're debugging.
