Rule violation (UCIO-1) Unconstrained Logical Port

Jump to solution

I don't know how to figure out which ports aren't located/constrained.  My xdc file is only trivially changed from a reference design, so I'm really surprised to get this error.  I'll attach my xdc file.

Some helpful person, please look at the attached xdc file and see if you can figure out why I'm getting this error.

Alternatively, or in addition, please suggest how I might most easily find the cause myself.  I scanned the file and can't see the problem.

Thanks

Helmut

I figured this out.  It was because I had 2 input ports of a 3-bit array that I wasn't using.  I reduced it to a 1-bit array "[0:0]" and the error went away.  The original "[2:0]" was just to be consistent with the xdc.
