SmartGuide verification

Hi All

 

I've recently used SmartGuide to modify Place&Route implementation after a minor code change. Is there any way I can verify that the new P&R results have changed ONLY in the area I expect, and have left the rest of the design untouched? I can't see a way to write out a file that contains the cell location details to do a comparison between the before and after P&R.

i'm afraid  there is no such a direct way.

we used FPGA editor or floorplaner to show the difference in the Demo

When smartguide is turned on, the tool will generate a guide report file (.grf) with what have been changed/reimplemented. An example is shown below:
