Viewing duplicated registers

Jump to solution

Hi,

Does the tool show duplicated registers in the floorplan? I have a high fan-out flop which I am expecting to be duplicated, but I can only see the base instance in the floorplan.

If the FF was duplicated by the tool , you can see the duplicated FF.

Needless to say,you should open the Design(dcp) after duplicating.

If you can't see the duplicated FF , the duplication may not happened.

Look at the Synthesis or Implementation log.

Hi @justins. If you do not see the registers being replicated, you can use the MAX_FANOUT property along with the place_design -fanout_opt to replicate drivers of a net. This is covered on age 69 of the below link.
