how to limit routing by pblock?

Jump to solution

I need to force all routing of one module or partition to use only one pblock

and save all routing outside the pblock to be clear.

You can set the CONTAIN_ROUTING property on the PBLOCK. When you place a module inside a PBLOCK with this set, all the internal routing for the module needs to stay within the confines of the PBLOCK.

See UG912, v2014.4, p. 141 for more details.

Nope.

The command I sent you is a Vivado command. For V6 you have to use ISE. The equivalent of the PBLOCK mechanism in ISE is the AREA_GROUP, and while you have some control over the packing (GROUP=OPEN/CLOSED) and the placement (PLACE=OPEN/CLOSED), you do not have control over the routing.

Sorry.
