reset bufg

commonly,the reset input has a large fanout.

1>does it need to add  a BUFG after reset ibufgctrl ipad?

reset--->ibufgctl---->BUFG?

2>does it need to add  a BUFG if reset input is added a debounce circuit?

reset--->ibufgctl---->debounce circuit(verilog)----->bufg?

Re: reset bufg

@m006,

Tool will automatically insert BUFG on high fanout reset nets:

You can also control this using the switches mentioned in below AR:

Re: reset bufg

do i need insert a BUFG primitive on rst_debounce signal  manualy after a global rst_in input  is debounced ?

always @(posedge dcm_refclkin)
begin
 rst_1 <= rst_in;
 rst_2 <= rst_1;
 rst_3 <= rst_2;
end

assign rst_debounce = (rst_1 & rst_2 & rst_3);

BUFG bufg_rst (.I(rst_debounce ),.o(rst_debounce1 ));

Re: reset bufg

Very likely the "rst_debounce" signal will be the one with the high fanout, so that's where you'd fix it.  However do as Syed suggests, and let the tool do it for you => Don't insert it yourself.

Regards,

Mark
