Installing webpack 11.2 issue

Jump to solution

Hi, I am new to using xilinx software and I downloaded the ISE design Suite 11.2 onto my PC running XP.  But I noticed that the extension of the downloaded file is TAR/GZ.  I could not install it because it says that the file cannot be run.

Please can someone help on this, while considering that I am new to this.  thanks

Yes you can untar this file. You can get any uncompressor.

Mostly 7 Zip is recommended. Please keep the hierarchy intact when unzipping.

Hi,

You'd need to untar and unzip the file, then run the executable installer.

Thanks,

Evgeni

tar.gz is a compressed file.

You can untar it in Windows with 7zip or winrar.
