Issue installing xrt Ubuntu 2018

Jump to solution

Hi, I wanted to install xrt on Ubuntu 2018. At first I got a message to install some packages. After I installed them, I wanted to reinstall XRT. But I got these messages:

Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Note, selecting 'xrt' instead of './xrt_201910.2.2.2173_18.04-xrt.deb'

After this operation, 0 B of additional disk space will be used.

Unregistering XRT Linux kernel module sources 2.2.2173 from dkms

Progress: [ 0%] [..................................................................................................]

And the progress won't proceed. I did some searches and I found that I have to reinstall linux image. So when I wanted to do that, I get these:

Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: The package xrt needs to be reinstalled, but I can't find an archive for it.

It seems that it's like a loop. I can't fix XRT unless I fix the image and I can't fix image unless I fix XRT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any idea?
