I'm at my wits' end, so hoping for some support from here.
I've installed Ubuntu 18.04, Ubuntu 19.10, and Windows 10 64-bit. In all cases, the Xilinx installer fails to install. I can get as far as configuring my installation settings, and the installer will begin to download the files. The installer will then abruptly exit. If it was launched via the console I get some useful output which points to a log file. That log file is attached.
Any ideas on what's causing it, and what I can do about it? I do not have the 60GB+ of free space required to download the single file download and try installing from there.
I'm not a java dev, so I'm not really sure what the JVM is trying to tell me here.
Edit: FYI, I tried Vivado 2019.2, 2019.1, and 2018.3

We have only seen a few times when this behaviour has been reported to us, however we can't find out an actual root cause of this behaviour and the users had to download and install using a Single FIle Download instead of a Webinstaller.
Here is one of the forum topics that reported the same error:
However, it would be good if we can identify an actual root cause for this issue. Therefore, in your case, how much of an actual disk space do you have in the location where you are trying to install Vivado in? Even when you just select a few devices to be downloaded and installed, the Disk Space Required is still around 50GB, so can you please let us know an actually disk space available in your case?

In addition to the information asked in my previous reply, can you also please navigate to /home/user_name/.Xilinx/xinstall/ and in here, see if you are a log file created, such as e.g. xinstall_1556725411065.log. If so, please share this with us for examination. Thanks

I get the same error regardless on a freshly installed Ubuntu 2018.4 system.
I have 90 GB available and even the tiny Xilinx_HW_Server_Lin_2019.2_1106_2127 installer produces the same error.
All I want is the HW-server and cable drivers, really...

Which installer are you using ? Web installer or All OS single installer.
I guess it seems network issue or proxy issue at your end.
If you are using Web installer, I suggest you to use All OS single installer.
Would you try it ?
