Node-Locked Licence and haviing the acceleration card and the SW toolchain on different servers

Hello to all!

I was wondering if somehow it is possible or not to have the following setup:

-- have a node-locked licence and the SW toolchain (SDx Vivado etc) required for compilation on server 1

-- have the actual acceleration PCIe card and its corresponding drivers along with all the libraries needed for the host code to run on server 2

So that you can compile and create bitstreams on server 1 but run you application and accelerate it on server 2.

A short answer is YES, this is absolutely fine what you've explained below.

Are you seeing an issue when doing this, if so, please report this issue to us and we'll be able to help you to get this sorted. 

Once you've successfully created/generated your bitstream on server 1, then you can indeed use this on server 2 or any other server, as no license is required then, once the bitfile is created. Only if you'd need to modify your bitfile on server 2 and would then need to re-run all the runs on this machine, then in this case a license would be required on this server 2.
