Re: Chipscope 16-119 Implementing debug core dbg_hub failed

Jump to solution

I do have an issue that I am trying to resolve. This is more of an implementation issue with Vivado. I am attempting to add debug cores to my design with ILA cores and probes. Upon implementation of the design I received the following error:

[Chipscope 16-119]   Implementing debug core dbg_hub failed.

ERROR: [Chipscope 16-111]   License check failed for Vivado Analyzer Feature - aborting debug core implementation.

The license file shows that the "Expiration Date" is permanent, though the "Version Limit" is 2016.05. I have attached the "environmental report" also that shows the version of the Analyzer and Chipscope are outside the version limit range.

How can I resolve this issue, considering we have a permanent license?

Hi @vharpernpa,

I appreciate the log files. What version of the tools are you running? If you are running anything later than Vivado 2016.1 then the license will not be compatible and not support the analyzer feature.

Thank you,

Thanks for the reply. The version of the tool in 15.2. I went to another laptop and copied the license file over, and that seems to have resolved the issue. I really appreciate your time and consideration on this matter.
