SDSOC16.2 didn't install arm-xilinx-eabi-gcc on Ubuntu16.4

Jump to solution

Hi, Dear All,

I installed SDSoC 16.2 on my new laptop, which is running Ubuntu 16.04LTS,  and after the installation, there is no

arm-xilinx-eabi-gcc

as you can see there is no arm/ folder under SDK installation folder:

~/Documents/software/SDSOC/SDSoC/2016.2/SDK/2016.2/gnu$ ls
aarch32  aarch64  armr5  microblaze

Anyone has a solution? Thank you very much

Well, great, SDSOC 16.2 doesn't install SDK/2016.2/*/gnu/arm folder, so no arm-linux-eabi-gcc.

So i switched to Vivado plus SDK 16.2 installtion.

Some additional comments, I reinstalled SDSoC16.2 to make sure I didn't do anything wrong. And there's no any kind of warning, and there's no ARM GNU Compiler installed in SDK installation folder. The armr5 folder is the arm-none-gnueabi-gcc Compilers I installed separately which doesn't go well with SDK 16.2 so well.

Please check this problem :o
