I've been attempting to download 12.1 for the past week without success. I've tried from home (simple network) and from work. I've tired all times day and night with the same results. Each time I've received the error message:
We cannot fullfill your request due to technical difficulties. Please try again later.
Has anyone actually downloaded 12.1? Is there another site where I could download it?

Usually when you get a message like that it means there is some issue with the details in your account are causing problems. Get rid of any special characters and make sure you're not using a PO box as an address. You should contact customer services (email addresses at the bottom of this page: http://www.xilinx.com/support/techsup/tappinfo.htm) for your region and they should be able to help you fix this if you can't find the problem yourself.

I've been downloading stuff from Xilinx since 10.3 and never had this problem before. I don't have any issues with my account - no strange characters nor a PO box. I'll give customer support a call later today.

The problem turns to be my e-mail address. I signed up for a Xilinx account using my corporate e-mail address but later I switched it to my home e-mail address to make it so I could login from home.
I switched it back to my corporate e-mail address and now I'm downloading 12.1.
