Unzip of Training Materials Fails

Hi-

 

A while back, I took the Essentials of FPGA Design class, but didn't need the info until recently.  To refresh my memory, I downloaded  the file fpga-vess-2015.3-rev1-xlnx_lab_files.7z from the Xilinx website in order to do the associated labs.

 

Whenever I try to unzip the file, it halts after a few seconds with a message saying "Winzip encountered problems during this operation".  If I look at the log, many files seem to be unzipped correctly, but the last entry says;

 

Cannot create C:<my_user_directory>\XilinxLabs\Essentials\training\essentials\completed\IP_Integrator\KCU105\vhdl\UART_LED_Subsystem\UART_LED_Subsystem.srcs\sources_1\bd\UART_LED_Subsystem\ip\UART_LED_Subsystem_meta_harden_0_0\synth\UART_LED_Subsystem_meta_harden_0_0.vhd
Irrecoverable Error: Extract operation failed.

 

I've tried repeating the download, but always get the same error.

My computer is running Windows 7 (64 bit) and the version of WinZip that launches is WinZip 22.0 Enterprice (12633) -64 Bit

 

Any suggestions?

I notice that the archived file has a "7z" (7 zip) extension.  Have you tried using 7-zip to decompress it?

I notice that the archived file has a "7z" (7 zip) extension.  Have you tried using 7-zip to decompress it?
