When trying to run the installer for either SDK or Vivado, I get "Authentication error: An unknown exception occurred. Please verify your user id and password and try again"
I can log into the site and another co-worker can log into the site. We can download the installer but when we try to install we both have identical errors at this point in the install. User IDs and passwords verify to login but fail to install.
Ideas ? Is there an authentication server that is down ?

Is this windows? I used to have these errors when I had the "Server" service disabled. Or when I had a proxy/firewall installed.
Do you have more logs?

I'm also having the same problem. Tested across 3 systems in west coast and east coast. I'm getting "Authentication error: An unknown exception occured".
However, the web logins appear to be fine.

We had indeed an issue at the server side where the service was down for a while, however this is now sorted and everything is working now. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

This is exactly the issue i am having now. Is the server down again? I have tried to run installer several times.
I am running 2017.4 vivado web pack on an Ubuntu system.

Is this an ongoing issue? I am trying to install 2017.4 Vivado WebPack on an Ubuntu 16.04 distr.
I am getting the same issue. I can authenticate credentials online, but i cannot through the installer.
