Vivado web pack

Jump to solution

I wish to give my students the ability to install Vivado on their home PC for the duration of a semester

which is about 3 months,

Is the license for Vivado Webpack limited to 30 days? is it possible to extend it after the 30 day period is finished?

@dag1

With Vivado 2018.2 WebPACK, you will be able to target the devices listed on page 12 of https://www.xilinx.com/support/documentation/sw_manuals/xilinx2018_2/ug973-vivado-release-notes-install-license.pdf

And as @u4223374 mentioned, no additional license will be required to use these devices.

Thanks,
Nupur

The WebPack license is free and permanent. No need to ever request a new license.

There is a separate Vivado evaluation license which is limited to 30 days. This gives you access to all the devices except for pre-release ones (WebPack is limited to a selection of relatively small FPGAs), but for student use it's unnecessary.
